Pruning at Plymouth Valley Cellars..

January 26, 2010 our local young farmers & ranchers group met out at Plymouth Valley Cellars and pruned the grape vines. This is our second year to perform this fundraiser. Thanks to the nice weather, this year was very nice and no one froze to death. Thanks to Dennis and Elaine Flaming for giving us the opportunity to raise money for our group to go to National Convention next month.

Family Fun Night..

On January 19, 2010; the Major County Young Farmers & Ranchers, with the help of the Farm Bureau's Women's Committee, held the Family Fun Night at the Fairview City Library. The last count I received was 38 kids and 17 adults, it may have been more when everything was said and done. What a great time the kids had. Games (which the men did a great job), crafts (Kay and Jessica they were awesome, the kids loved them), story time (Nicole had a fun story along with a craft which the kids enjoyed) and snacks (which our women's group took control of and they were dilicious)!

Thank each and every person who had a little or big part to make this night happen. This is truly a way for us to reach out and give to our community!!
